Overview
Opened by the Midland Railway as its carriage and wagon works, it has built rolling stock for about 150 years under British Rail, Bombardier and Alstom. Trains for the London Underground, Elizabeth line and many regional fleets came from its sheds, the last of the great Derby rail works still building trains.
