1879 - Operational
Overview
George and Richard Cadbury moved their chocolate works out of Birmingham city smog into a garden factory and built the village of Bournville around it with greens, schools, and decent cottages. Dairy Milk was born here, along with a model of employee welfare copied worldwide.
