Overview
A tidewater steel complex on Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, founded by Pennsylvania Steel and bought by Bethlehem Steel in 1916. By the 1950s it was described as the largest steel plant in the world, feeding ships, bridges and cans. It closed in 2012 and has since been cleared for logistics development.
