Meyer Werft Papenburg
1795 - Operational
Overview
A family shipyard founded in 1795 in the inland town of Papenburg, now one of the leading builders of large cruise ships. Its giant covered building halls let hulls be assembled out of the weather, and finished ships are carefully steered down the narrow River Ems to the North Sea.
