Krupp Essen Works
1811 - Redeveloped
Overview
Friedrich Krupps cast steel works grew into the Essen cannon works that armed Prussia and imperial Germany, a company town unto itself with tens of thousands of employees. The name Krupp became a worldwide synonym for heavy industry and its wages and welfare alike.
