Homestead Steel Works
1881 - Mostly demolished
Overview
Carnegie Steels flagship on the Monongahela and site of the 1892 Homestead strike, the bloody battle between Pinkerton agents and locked out workers that reshaped American labor law for a generation. Cold since 1986, a few smokestacks and the pump house survive.
