Overview
The flagship brewery in the Soulard district of St. Louis, rooted in the Bavarian Brewery that Eberhard Anheuser took over around 1860. Adolphus Busch built it into a national giant with pasteurisation and refrigerated rail cars, and Budweiser followed in 1876. The brewhouse and Clydesdale stables are a National Historic Landmark.
