Bofors Karlskoga Works
1646 - Operational
Overview
Ironworks dating to 1646 that Alfred Nobel bought in 1894 and rebuilt into a modern cannon and powder concern, spending his last years living beside it. The Bofors 40 mm gun became one of the most used weapons of WWII, and the name still means artillery.
